Two Las Vegas police officers are being suspended without pay, but will keep their jobs, after an investigation about evidence planted in the car of a man charged with drug possession.

Sheriff Bill Young says it was an accident, the drugs were put in suspect Mark Lilly's vehicle by a K-9 officer who forgot them after training his drug-sniffing dog.

The Las Vegas police Citizen Review Board had recommended firing Officers Kevin Collmar and David Parker, after concluding the officers filed a false report and lied in court.
