In honor of Frank Sinatra's 95th birthday, Wynn Las Vegas in conjunction with the corporate marauders who control the Sinatra name and trademark will present an evening of further plundering the smooth as scotch voice that we all know and love.

Time for you to break out your best Steverino impression and speaketh the word:

We will present an extraordinary evening of Frank Sinatra - his words and music set to incredible movement by Twyla Tharp. This mesmerizing treatment of the man and his music moves with an intense, electrifying fascination.

Before you lose the script, here's the plot: four couples meet at a swinging 40's dance club choreographed by Twyla Tharp (neato) and fall in love accompanied by a live big band (double neato) playing Nelson Riddle, Quincy Jones and Billy May arrangements (triple neato) to a click track (subtract one neato) that contains Frank Sinatra's isolated vocal parts (triple neato).

The show starts December 11th and runs until January 29th, 2011 in the Encore The-ate'r.

Comments & Discussion:

Sounds like an alternate universe version of Viva Elvis.
Actually, there is a tour called Elvis The Tour where E's musicians play live to his vocal click track. I hate to admit that I've seen it about 4 times. Even though it was a recording, it was pretty amazing hearing Elvis' voice 25 years after his death reverberating in a huge arena.
The Wynn show doesn't sound as creepy as that.
