Harrah's IPO Confirmed, Here Comes The LINQ
Not but four hours after my supposin' about the Harrah's IPO, Harrah's came out and filed, announcing that the proceeds for the stock sale (~$575M) would be used to build two new JV casinos in Ohio, finish Caesars Palace's mothballed 660 room Octavius Tower ($85M) and develop The LINQ (all caps) retail promenade thingy between Flamingo and Imperial Palace.
For those who may have forgotten, the LINQ is this (and yes that is the official logo):

Among the long list of known unknowns: Will the latest version of the LINQ include the ferris wheel? Will Harrah's turn O'Shea's into a billboard with craps tables and beer pong inside? Will some of the left over cashish be used to fund the Bills to Drai's conversion?

Comments & Discussion:
Just my Opinion. But i think HET should use the cash to spruce up the properties they already have. Instead of building a new complex. the Flamingo,IP,Harrah's ,Rio,and even Caesers need a little love to live up to their potential.
Harrah's should be repaying their debt...oh wait that would be a logical decision.
The next major project should be a complete overhaul and tower reskinning of Flamingo. Rebuild all the public spaces with views of the gardens and pool (not unlike Encore)..
Merge IP and Harrah's together into one property (nix a few towers from both properties).. rebrand it.
Never going to happen.
