HOLY CRAP: Southwest Offers Two Free Nights Vegas Package

The lunatics at Southwest Airlines have teamed up with nearly every property in town for a gigantic "two free nights" promotion... this is by far one of the best promos they've put out since the gigantic fire sale on hotel rooms a year or so ago. The deal runs from today until November 16th, perfect for those who want to book early for year end or Spring 2011 trips.

Here's the link, proper: Exclusive offer! Book flight + hotel and receive 2 FREE Nights to Las Vegas! Book 10/15 - 11/16.

We booked a sample trip from Chicago Midway to Las Vegas departing Thursday 11/18/2010 and returning Monday 11/22/2010 and found the following:

Let's break down the package using ARIA as a base of operations.

Southwest Vegas Deals

The price of a flight for two from Chicago Midway to Las Vegas, non stop, using the lowest "web fare" from Southwest.com, prices out at $762.80.

Southwest Las Vegas Deals

The price of four nights at ARIA, priced from AriaLasVegas.com comes in at $766. Depending on the dates you book, this rate could be impacted by Aria's pending addition of a $20/day resort fee in early December.

Total package price booked separately: $1528.80, plus applicable taxes and tags.

Booked together the package is $1045.24, a savings of about $500 bucks, which is GREATER than the $209 average room rate Aria carrying throughout October + November.

If you are fortunate enough to have Southwest service your local airport, this is a tremendous package promo... it might very well be the best Vegas package deal we've seen this year. If you looking for a booking, you've got a month to grab this one.

Comments & Discussion:

I just tried that with a flight from Philly ARIA was $1,581.87 and Harrah's was $1,890.67 Whats up with that?!?!?

IMO, this is your best chance to get a Cosmo wrap-around terrace room in January. Essentially $300/night on weekends vs $450-550 direct. I hate the paper ticket part of these deals, but am not sure we will ever see these prices again for the wrap-around rooms. My only hesitation is whether everything will be operating smoothly in Jan. I waited until early Feb for Aria and am glad I did.

says this offer is only available for travel from 11/17-12/20 so doesn't seem to work for early next spring :(

@Dawg i plead insanity!
