Bellagio: Gateway to the Cosmopolitan
As the countdown to the opening of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas inches ever closer to zero (we're now at 97 days), many of us are going to have to start looking at the logistics of planning a trip to attend what should be one rock 'em, sock 'em casino opening. Where are you going to stay? You may have that Wraparound Terrace Suite all booked away for the night of the 15th, but what are you going to do for the actual opening? Where will you be the night of Dec. 14?
Well, if you're smart, you're going to be sitting right across the beauty that is Lake Bellagio and enjoying the view of Las Vegas' newest resort and casino from your Deluxe Lakeview Room at Bellagio for a steal of only $132.30. Or you could sacrifice the view and waltz into Steve Wynn's masterpiece practice pad for a cool $97. For comparison, that same night will cost you $139 at Aria (Note: You would have to be a moron to pay rack rate at Aria. Wait for a promotion; they come almost weekly.), $139 at Venetian, $159 at Wynn Las Vegas, and $169 at Encore.
A double-digit rate at Bellagio compared to triple digits at most of its competitors? Putting aside what such continually depressed rates have to spell for that property and the general Las Vegas market, I think the answer to this pre-Cosmo dilemma is quite clear.
All you need to do in order to snag this rate is book using this handy dandy rate code OR or get on the line with your very personal VIP casino services rep and reserve this ultra-exclusive rate today!
*Tantalizing lick of the lips* Enjoy.

"Where are you going to stay?"
Home. I considered a night at Planet Hollywood, but why pay money and risk bed bugs?
The more obvious choice is PHo directly connected to Cosmo by the walkway across the strip. Its a shorter walk than anywhere by Jockey Club and have some nice strip view suites overlooking Cosmo.
Encore TS for $205/night (booked via Virtuoso) with the hope that I'll get bumped to a Salon Suite.
