Harrah's Beta Testing New Reservation System
We've just discovered that Harrah's Entertainment - owners of everything on the right side of the Strip between Planet Hollywood and Harrah's plus Caesars Palace and The Rio - have begun bucket testing a BETA version of their reservation system using Vegas Podcastapaloozateers as guinea pigs.

Instantly noticeable is an inproved interface, clearer typography and infinitely more spacious layout. Access to availability calendar, date switching, package exploration and clear layout of pricing is a vast improvement over the previous.
One of the more interesting features is a "room comparison" tool, which when fully rolled out will give users the possibility to compare a Flamingo Go Room with a Paris Red Room with a Harrah's M Suite with a Caesars Palace Octavius Tower room. Cross property upsells and feature comparison will help all of us make better travel decisions by opting for more luxurious accommodations or satiating the budget conscious.
Looks great.

Comments & Discussion:
It's about damn time! It's always been a hassle for me to compare regular rates vs. hot deals vs. TR deals. Hopefully this will improve all of that with ease.
Actually they've been testing this system with various TR users for at least 4 months now. So your overhyped podcast meetup isn't anything special. All you too-cool-for-the-room rubes can circle jerk each other and nobody is going to care.
The cross property compare tool would be great, especially if they can include offers. In a less snarky tone - they've been rolling this out for a while, but this is the most robust I've seen it so far. Thanks for pointing it out as it didn't look like this when I was on last week.
@carnie : do you need a hug?
this looks kind of sweet
Is it really true that there will be a circle jerk? And will it be co-ed?
