Wynn Las Vegas has confirmed the long floating rumors that Vegas nightlife guru Victor Drai is leaving Wynn to concentrate on his burgeoning club enterprise in Los Angeles and - as mentioned by Norm! and The Leach - turning Bills Gambling Hall and Saloontz-oonts-oontz into Harrah's version of a overpriced boutique orgy.

The "Statement from Wynn Las Vegas" statement:

In order to pursue other interests, Victor Drai has entered into an agreement with Wynn Las Vegas allowing him the ability to pursue a wide range of business opportunities which would necessitate reducing his responsibilities with our company. Hence, the relations that have worked so well for both Wynn Las Vegas and Victor Drai have come to an end on the best of terms, with the warmest possible feelings of both parties. Speaking for Mr. Wynn and myself, we wish Victor well in his future endeavors," said Andrew Pascal, President of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore.

Jesse and Cy Waits, who have run Tryst and XS for Victor Drai, will remain along with the men and women that have worked in the clubs since their inception so that these operations will enjoy complete management continuity.

Comments & Discussion:

Someone got released from their exclusivity agreement.

AHh. I really hope they don't F Bills up but I know they will. The "wild wild west" theme is bored and tired in today's Vegas. It's got a prime location on the Strip and Harrahs knows turning it into a boutique hotel will rake in cash. The property is small, perfectly located, and very convenient. Turning it all ultra modern will rake in people wanting to stay at the hotels as well as more traffic off the street.
My observations are obvious ones of course. I just want to see the transition phase. Ultra modern mixed with wild wild west.

"Ultra modern mixed with wild wild west."

Pretty sure that's how Will Smith ended up passing on the Matrix to make Wild Wild West.

Tons of potential at Bill's, but what will be really sad is taking away the last, clean, affordable option mid-strip. The location is just so prime and the prices are rock bottom. The rooms are actually nice for the amount you pay.

MGM should just turn over the Harmon to him.

There is only so much Harrah's can do with the small rooms at Bill's. No amount of money is going to make the bathrooms bigger. Harrah's is going to want to keep Victor on a tight budget ($100M). I'm hoping Victor just modifies the theme to something like a Bourbon Street rather than go all modern.

Cy Waits and girlfriend Paris Hilton busted outside of Wynn last night with a little booger sugar in the car:

Misnomer beat me to it, I was just about to post about Paris... what a coincidence.

Drai isn't out the door one night before Waits gets arrested...that doesn't bode well for the future of the company.

Why in the name of all that's holy were they driving in the first place? Surely a Wynn limo is comped for either one of them at any time. That is just blatant stupidity and/or arrogance...

Do you think Paris ended up in the holding tank? Doubtful...though I'd love to hear an account of how she reacted to being with the crackheads and prosti's...that would be good reading.
