Aria, Mandarin Oriental Nominated for Virtuoso Awards
Another week, another awards show... this time presented by Luxury travel retailer Virtuoso.com, a company that many of you use to compare and reserve your luxury travel. Earlier today, Virtuoso released the nominees of the 2010 "Best of The Best" awards they have been tossing around for four years.
Only two Las Vegas resorts were nominated this year and both of them are newest kids on the Vegas block - Aria, and Mandarin Oriental.
Aria has been nominated in the "Best Achievement in Design" category along with Capella [Singapore], Mandarin Oriental [Barcelona] Armani Hotel Dubai [Dubai], and Taj Falaknuma Palace [Hyderabad].
Mandarin Oriental was nominated not for its hotel, but for having the best bar... a laurel we granted to the Mandarin Bar before it even opened.
Hotelier of the Year nominees did not include Steve Wynn, who is probably having a hissy fit on board his yacht in the French Riviera at this very moment.
