Cosmo Packages: Generous Much?

Many hotel packages are laughable. Some are even downright insulting. Most assume that you, the consumer, aren't smart enough or are too lazy to do the math. They hope to have you suckered in to paying extras for amenities you'll never use or that you'd otherwise pay less for when booking separate.

But as though we haven't already gone nuts for The Cosmopolitan, their packages are another reason to love them even more. Let's pencil out the three current offers.

Anyone looking to stay two or more nights absolutely must consider the Linger Longer package. For the exact same price, it gives you an 8pm check out. No more forcing the blackout curtains open while hungover to get yourself awake, packed, and out of the room in time. No more push to get out of the suite while you're already depressed about leaving. It's especially awesome for Californian commuters who have the leisure of leaving whenever they like. Good deal on a red-eye flight? Go for it. The room's yours well into the evening.

Then there's the So Totally Over It package which not only knocks down the price of the wraparound terrace suites to a *very* reasonable rate on most weekends and major holidays, but it also includes $100 in food and beverage credit. Yours truly pulled the trigger on this for opening night.

Finally, the Las Vegas City Living package advertises cocktails and dinner for two. While this isn't the first time we've seen something like this in Vegas, this package actually offers you a choice in where you spend your money with an extremely generous $260 food and beverage credit. While it does add a slight increase to the price of single night's stays, the overall cost for two or more nights is significantly lower with the package. Book it and get yourself stuffed and smashed on opening night.

Too good to be true? I'd definitely say so. Book them while they last!

Comments & Discussion:

8 PM checkout would be awesome! When I ask for late checkout, I get Noon! Not very helpful when you've got a 9 PM flight.

And the Wraparound Terrace Suite has a washer/dryer too so you can do a few loads of laundry!!

I like the late checkout option for Cosmo, but weren't many up in arms over Luxor offering this as an option, albeit only to 3pm, but there was some complaint about them charging for it?

dinner + cocktails > room rate

amex FHR properties get 4pm checkout, but yeah 8pm is awesome

I must admit, I'm close to booking. The wraparound looks great but so does the Terrace Suite, I love the layout... I like how these deals are good thru end of May. MikeE- Looking foward to your grand opening review.

What? No dumb hidden fine-print? No resort fee?

JohnD, I love that the "fine print" is actually in the same font as everything else. Hell yeah!

i wonder if there's an Opie & Anthony fan in charge of the marketing idea behind "linger longer"

all of the offers seem way cool. i usually leave before 11am anyway but this would work for me if i felt like hanging out longer and taking a red eye flight
