Q: Can you talk about some other key elements of [ The Cosmopolitan ] and how you will integrate them into the project?

IBE: It will have approximately nine to 11 restaurants, and those restaurants are all going to be world-class food establishments that are coming from other parts of the country like New York, L.A., San Francisco, Miami. We've got more than 200,000 square feet of retail shops. They're going to be interesting; they're going to be funky. They are places that have not yet been in Las Vegas before. We've also got a major hotel company which will manage the property and we've basically focused primarily on the corporate meeting business. We're also going to have an 1,800-seat theater. By creating a glass (tower) and putting that glass (tower) directly on the Strip, we are attempting to make the access to the property more user-friendly. We basically designed the property so that the parking -- we've got parking for almost 4,000 cars -- is directly under the casino, the retail and the restaurants. That's by design so that people will be able to traverse the building vertically rather than horizontally. We also intend to have signage, in the window of the facade, that will allow you to know what the restaurants are.

On top of the retail, on the fourth floor, we have an entire area that we call the "Cosmo Beach Club" that will have pools and wading pools and indoor-outdoor dining. But you're going to be right on the Strip, allowing you to have a fabulous view across the street at Paris (and other resorts). Because Harmon Avenue is rerouted you're now at a corner with traffic coming directly at this rather imposing, architecturally significant tower.
