Wynn's Boulud Brasserie Space Goes To SW Chef Walzog

Eater LA has jumped on our two week old assertion that Boulud is finito July 5th and peppered the story with their own spicy nugget... that the Boulud space will be taken over by SW Steakhouse Chef David Walzog.

Our two week old inquiry to Wynn Resorts PR about the Boulud change has gone unanswered.

This is just my gut feeling, but I doubt that whatever changes they do make to the venue will be little more than cosmetics and rebranding. This is prime real estate that can't be closed for the entire summer season.

As for Chef Boulud, whom I've met twice, it was fun while it lasted... have fun in Singapore and say hi to Uncle Sheldon!

Comments & Discussion:

We had a sensational meal theere last fall. Too bad but I am sure Wynn won't let that fantastic setting to go to waste. Love the vast numbers of choices we have in ever changing Vegas.

Spite is a powerful motivator. I expect a new Boulud restaurant in Venelazzo in 5...4...3...2...

Agree on all points. Only minor changes for now, with a complete overhaul in the fall. A new DB is a great bet for Palazzo (Trotter's old spot under the escalators).

Walzog did a great job at Country Club Grill and does equally well at SW. However, too bad we won't get a new great chef in the DB space. I like the space, but not the bar area. It's too isolated in the back without any view.
