But What About Yes, ELP, Kansas and Styx?
History proves that dinosaurs - and 1970's prog rock bands - generally move in packs.
Hot on the heels of the news that Pink Floyd's Roger Waters would be performing "The Wall" at MGM Grand on November 26th, came word that Rush would grace - sans pressure - the very same stage with their 1980 masterpiece "Moving Pictures" on August 14th.
So where are the other terrible lizards?
Yes would've completed the prog rock trifecta had they booked a Vegas date this year, but... No. You'll have to go to Beau Rivage, Harrah's Tunica, Mohegan Sun, Harrah's Rincon or Washington's Snoqualimie Casino to catch their co-headlining tour with Peter Frampton.
Further down the prog rock pecking order, two thirds of E.L.P. - keyboardist Keith Emerson and Greg Lake - are performing at the Las Vegas Hilton THIS Saturday night April 24 at 8pm.
Pop-proggers Styx, Foreigner and Kansas lined their ducks up for a triple bill at Mandalay Bay on May 22. Time to bust out that tuxedo t-shirt.

Comments & Discussion:
is it totally ridiculous that i want to see the E.L.(-P.) show on saturday? i mean, did you read the description?
"Keith Emerson and Greg Lake perform an exclusive intimate evening of musical retrospective highlighting the iconic music of Emerson, Lake & Palmer, the Nice and King Crimson."
the caveat? it's a two-man "unplugged" show. do i risk seeing prog-unplugged, without even the benefit of that creepy old guy in the background playing hand percussion?
