Daniel Boulud Brasserie : No Reservations After May 31st

Daniel Boulud Brasserie Closing May 31st

With explosion of five star dining in Las Vegas over the last 5 years, it is nearly impossible for even the most intrepid foodie tourist to experience them all. Even within the confines of Wynn Las Vegas chocolate towers, enjoying the depth of cuisine at its astonishing array of award winning restaurants would require months of dedication and about a hundred thousand dollars.

Alas the choices will be one the fewer starting June 1st, as Daniel Boulud Brasserie - winner of Michelin stars nearly every year since it opened Wynn Las Vegas in 2005 - is, according to the neato new dining reservations system on Wynn website, taking its final reservations on the evening of May 31st, 2010.

Hurry and book now before Chef Daniel runs out of beef and vodka cured hamachi.

As has been widely reported, Daniel Boulud and Wynn Resorts amicably agreed to pass on renewing their initial five year agreement earlier this year, leading to the imminent closure of Daniel Boulud Brasserie.

A replacement has yet to be named, but we can assume that it will most likely continue serving French cuisine. Should Wynn Resorts opt to give all DBB employees Le Guillotine - including Executive Chef Wesley Holton and Chef du Cuisine Rick Mace - may we suggest the phenomenal Walter Manzke, who left the amazing L.A. french bistro Church & State two weeks ago?

Comments & Discussion:

My Kingdom! My Kingdom for a "T".

I remember lines waiting to get into DBB when Wynn first opened. Boulud has an impeccable reputation. Whatever replacement will not gross more money. This is probably about the rent and Steve wanting a percentage of the profits.

Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! That sucks, DBB was one of my faves. Whatever opens in it's place will not likely be as good or have the kickass Boulud Burger!

Rumors on the (culinary) street is that Gordon Ramsay will be taking that spot.
