A Quick Roundup of Aria So Far

The boys have checked into their rooms now and are, for the most part, satisfied and comfortable. Issues are expected in the first full operational day.

That said, the extra lamp in the closet, the empty directory and the inability to get into the mini-bar (egads!) does not compare to to the inefficiency of moving from one property to another. We understand that they are indeed, separate properties, but having to transfer your car and luggage yourself does seem a bit, err, crass.

Hunter ended his afternoon/begun his evening with a trip to the spa and while he was impressed, he was not that impressed.

Reminder: the real time stream is at AriaOpening.com.

Comments & Discussion:

Some people keep the towels, some keep the robes, and since there was probably no way to track it, did you keep the extra lamp?

I just read a brief review of Mandarin and it doesn't sound good... $30 valet parking charge, $18 wifi, etc. Paying to park in Vegas? And at that price?Where are they going to find these high rollers these days? This isn't NYC/Hong Kong, and this isn't 2005/2006 either. I think the whole project is really cool, and I'm excited to check it out, but even if I had money to blow, I'm not sure why I would stay at Mandarin as opposed to Aria.

my thoughts exactly about that extra lamp in the closet. That would have been the first thing in my bag. lmao. just kidding. but that would have been very tempting.
