I'm In Love

Dear Encore,

We've had a fun year, a great year, a lovely and amazing year... but all good things must come to an end. I've found someone else. Her name is Mandarin Executive and she doesn't wear houndstooth printed burlap.

Can we still be friends?

Mandarin Oriental Executive Room

...with benefits?

Comments & Discussion:

...oh, my...that is...wow....

I noticed the room floor plans are on the Mandarin site as well. True walk-in closets - something I've never seen before in a standard room.

this is chinese style. If you like it, anybody can watch you on the toilet ... or at least in the tub

What is with the trend to put so many useless decorative pillows on the beds. These things never get clean covers on them, so would you dare lay your head on them after hundreds or thousands of people before you used them? Even the crappy pillows the airlines give you get clean covers on them after each flight. So the decorative pillows are just something else you have to take off the bed and put somewhere (usually the floor) before you can climb in under the sheets. I say leave the useless decorative pillows and fake bedspreads off. Give me a clean, sanitary, and comfortable bed in a room that is quiet and has an HVAC system that works and I will be happy.

i always liked to use those throw pillows for the ol' post-coital cleanup. That'll teach 'em.

We'll just have to wait and see what rates they can get for these rooms. At $350/night, I would probably opt for a suite at a gaming property.

This is the reason I can't wait for the Citycenter hotels to open. As much as I love the design at Wynn/Encore, I find the service abysmal. Hopefully a bit of competition will force them to improve.

WOW! What are the rates like for these rooms?

I've just made a reservation for one of their largest room (Mandarin Premier Room), and got a great deal with one complimentary night offer. The total for two nights (12/16 and 12/17) with taxes included is $521 ($260.50/night). That is a great deal for a property that carries the MO brand name.
Attention Las Vegas Boutique-Wanna-Be-Hotels: Mandarin Oriental has arrived!
