Hurry: Mandalay Bay New Years Eve Deal

Hey John, how do you know Las Vegas is in a recession? Umm... when Mandalay Bay starts offering room discounts New Year's Eve. Pretty much.

That's right, for the next twenty-four hours, you can now enjoy watching the mass of belligerently-drunk douche bags Ed Hardy-ing their $1 Coors Lights along the Strip on New Year's Eve from the privacy of your room at Mandalay Bay (for a song of $189 on Dec. 31) or THEhotel (not quite as much of a song at $249).

And all you have to do is use this magic little offer code: PNYE72E.

Now, the catch is the classic (read: new booking gimmick that's becoming just as popular as the resort fee) two-night minimum that you'll have to fulfill, but just think of the savings:

Currently, Mandalay Bay's main reservation page is charging $199.99 for Dec. 30 and $299.99 on Dec. 31 for their classic 550 DR Room. That's a total of about $500. Using the above-mentioned deal, you get both nights for $189.99. That's a total of $380 and a savings of $120.

Yeah, you really know Hell hath frozen over when Mandalay Bay is offering NYE discounts and the un-opened ARIA and Vdara are offering $50 resort credit packages. Now, all we'll need is a Memorial Day deal from Bellagio and we'll be set.
