Golly, while driving around Chinatown the other day, I just happened to pass by what appears to be a top secret laboratory, wherein the latest products for The Mirage are possibly being tested, developed and planned.

By the style of the canopy, we can certainly date this Los Angeles outcropping of The Mirage back to Steve Wynn vintage. The color choices can only be explained by assertion that even exalted design gurus like Roger Thomas may occasional succumb to seafoam, skyblue and salmon pastels. Then again, I'd paint just as poorly if I had to do it while being eyeballed by the gangbangers two clicks to the right. For the full sensory experience, maneuver your way to the passenger side of the Suburban.

A the end of three innings the score is: Chinese Bootleggers 3, Casino Trademark Lawyers 0.

Comments & Discussion:

No doubt this is an early indicator of Steve Wynns purported love of the Chinese government that is being so hotly debated over at the RateVegas blog.

Ah yes, VT's version of Engadget's Keepin' It Real Fake.....

Wow...there's must be like a pattern going here...LA shops and warehouses copying Vegas designs, trademarks, and names!
