Hooters Air Begins Serving Vegas

Hooters Air began passenger service last week from Greater Rockford Airport. The carrier's flew full Boeing 737 plane adorned with the signature orange "Hooters Air" and the company's owl symbol peering upon the tarmac.

The Thursday flight to Denver carried 130 passengers and two local Hooters waitresses. (Related item: Hooters Air photo gallery)

The flight kicked off the Myrtle Beach, S.C.-based airline's first western expansion. Hooters now offers direct flights to Denver and Las Vegas both from Rockford, about 60 miles northwest of Chicago O'Hare. The carrier also offers flights from Rockford to Atlanta, with connecting service to Myrtle Beach, the airline's top hub.
