CityCenter's Mandarin Oriental Now Taking Reservations!
The much-anticipated rival to Vegas' Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, is now accepting reservations beginning December 5th through the month of February. As expected, rooms are pricey, but we weren't expecting anything in the neighborhood of $600 per night midweek; for that kind of coin, there are plenty of other jaw-dropping options in this town.
But here's the (somewhat) good news: they'll cut a deal with you if you're willing to be a guinea pig while City Center gets its bearings. Be one of the first to book one night from now through February, and the second night's on them. That means most weekends can be had for less than $300 per night - not necessarily out of the question for the level of property, but still not cheap considering the time of year.
We look forward to the day they discover they're in Vegas and charging over a buck per square foot of room space won't fly in this city no matter how great the service.

Is room size that important at that level? You could always have a bigger room for less somewhere. Unless you're staying at the Western or something.
Then again, I'm a single schmuck with few belongings, I really only require that the room be so big.
Holy crap! I looked for the week of my wedding Dec 5-12 and the cheapest room is $467 a night. Unless this price includes unlimited liquor and select drugs plus a couple escorts on the weekend, then no thanks. However, if it included all of the above then we might talk.
