President Clinton Celebrates B-Day At Craftsteak (Again)

Even ex-Presidents make annual Vegas birthday trips. For the second year in a row, President Bill Clinton will be celebrating his birthday (2009 marks his 63rd) at Craftsteak at MGM Grand. This guy could go anywhere for his birthday dinner, and chose Tom Collichio's Craftsteak.... twice. Put that in your Yelp and smoke it.

The New York Times is reporting that dinner guests will include Terry McAuliffe, Paul Begala, John D. Podesta, Haim Sabin, Steve Bing and Jay Carson.

Fortunately for Bill, Mrs. Clinton is in The Congo doing whatever it is that Secretaries of State do. Al Gore, who was in town earlier this week for the National Clean Energy Summit, has other plans and skipped town.

Perhaps MGM should consider hiring some of Rio's out of work Sapphire Pool strippers as chair fillers for Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Gore?

Comments & Discussion:

Did he invite Kim Jong Il along for dinner? Oh wait, Americans don't eat dogs. Nevermind.

oh wait - that said "b-day", not "B-J".
here's hoping Bill makes the trip to Parumph...i'm sure the ladies out there don't have cankles

No cigar.

Well if the former President will be there between 8/31 and 9/6 he can take part in Restaurant Week at the MGM. I got an email today about this event (http://www.mgmgrand.com/offers/2009/08_restaurant_week/index.html) where he can eat at restaurants including Craftsteak, Wofgang Puck, Emeril's, L'Atelier, SeaBlue, Shibuya, NobHill Tavern and Diego for a mere $20.09, $30.09, or $50.09 depending on the 3-course tasting menu. Maybe Bill is trying to save a buck or two while Hillary is in the Congo letting the world know SHE is the Secretary Of State.
