VegasEats: The Red Cup Cafe at M Resort

M Resort

Reviews have been seemingly unanimous on M Resort since their opening earlier in the year. A quick walkthrough of my own last month had me in total agreement. But it wasn't until a few days ago when the parents and I decided to grab some lunch there on the way back to Orange County that I realized why the praise has been so positive.

We stepped into Red Cup Cafe and were immediately seated in a large booth looking straight out onto the pool grounds. Indeed, the way most all the restaurants at M combine indoor and outdoor spaces with natural light through floor to ceiling windows is enough to make even Steve Wynn a little jealous.

But with such a spectacular setting, the prices on the menu are low enough to have you grinning ear to ear. A menu for those over 50 carrying their Imagine Rewards slot club card has entrees as low as $5. While my parents opted to order from there, I grabbed a burger and fries every bit as good as what you might find at Mirage's BLT or comparable "gourmet" burger joint for $9. Service was genuinely friendly if a bit slow, though I probably wouldn't even fault them on that had I not have to be in California before 8pm that evening.

Three sodas later and we're out the door for only $36 not including the tip. Maybe I've become accustomed to strip gouging, but I've paid more for an equivalent lunch in a not nearly as nice setting here at home.

Mark Red Cup Cafe down as another spot enticing enough to make the entire M Resort experience worth the trek down.

Comments & Discussion:

my experience and thoughts about red cup are nearly identical to mike's. it's a very lovely spot to enjoy an afternoon lunch, but don't expect lightning service. loving m.

Does this restaurant have a Keno board and Keno slips on the table, along with Keno girls to "run" the tickets back to place the bet?

I miss the old school Vegas with Keno in the restaurants. It is a pity that lots of the newer places are dropping that game and the opportunity for you to lose money as you eat.
