Tropicana Unveils New Logo
As part of their "comprehensive revitalization and rebranding", Tropicana has unveiled a brand new logo:

Ta-daaaa!
I'm curious if they are going to put this on the building, particularly the vertical version down the spine of the building. Not a big fan of the 'Las Vegas' typeface, but the Tropicana part looks much more exciting than the current old version.

Comments & Discussion:
If they're going to keep the old buildings and old casino interior, why don't they just keep the old logo? Nostalgia is the only thing they have going for them at this point.
This looks like something stock or generic that could be on a highway motel sign.
Actually, I think its very nostalgic, as it looks the same as logos Ive seen on postcards and magazine advertisements of the Trop from the early 1960's..... But Im not sure if I want to see it permanently on the side of the towers or at the main entrance.
Unfortunately, the Tropicana is already more than one rebranding removed from anything that anyone is going to feel too nostalgic about. They aren't going to regain any of their former glory without spending some real money. Not on that corner of the strip, anyway.
