Contest: Win a Penthouse Suite at Mirage!

Another day, another contest... this time it's the Mirage giving away three nights in a Penthouse Suite with all the fix'n's - Limo service, VIP check in, 2 tix to LOVE and Terry Fator shows, $300 dining credit and $200 spa credit. Unlike the Wynn sweepstakes from last week, transportation to Las Vegas is your own responsibility. All you have to do is subject yourself to their advertising for the next... uh... rest of your social media life.

The official rules say there is "no purchase necessary" but you do need to sign up for their guestbook (email/mail marketing) OR mobile alerts (spam via sms) or join their Facebook page to enter. And like the Wynn contest, Canadians are verboten (booo).

Chances are, you've probably get enough casino marketing in your life... between emails and social media. In case you haven't and/or want to take your chances at winning a four day/three night Penthouse Suite the sign up instructions are here OR you can send your pertinent details on a 3x5 card to the address in the rules.

As someone who has facilitated a handful of contests like these, I'm curious to know exactly how they get all the names of people - Facebook, guest book, mobile and 3x5 cards - into the potential winners pool. Do they print all these out and put em in a prize drum a la Five Hundy? Or do they do data entry of the people from Facebook, Mobile and 3x5 cards and put them into an xls spreadsheet from which they pick the winner randomly?
