The Palazzo Pool Now Serving Champagne, Frozen Grapes, and a Side of Sausage

Just when you thought Las Vegas was done with anything remotely nightclubby for a while, The Palazzo recently announced a new luxury pool: AZURE.

The description sounds oddly familiar. Champagne? Cabanas? Bottle service? I liked AZURE the first time I went there... when it was called Bare/Moorea/Rehab/Wet Republic/Tao Beach! Zing!

But in all fairness, it seems AZURE is striving to combine all the offerings of these other "daylife" options with the amenities and services already offered at Wynn's Tower Suites or Encore's "European" pools (minus the boobs). The addition of the fashion show each Saturday is the only original idea here, but it makes for a great draw and is excellent marketing of their retail space.

Cover is a steep $20 and if it winds up having the same success as those other "ultra" pools, expect an additional penis tax to keep the sausage at a minimum.

Comments & Discussion:

whomever it is that names stuff over there needs to get their caps lock unstuck.

Once they get it unstuck, they're just going to start naming them in lower case letters....

I know the pool scene is almost as important to the club scene to some folks when in Vegas; but to me, the pool is probably towards the bottom of the list of amenities at a hotel that I care about (right above the fitness center/gym/workout room and below the ballroom/meeting room/convention room).
