Late Night TV Legend Johnny Carson passed away Sunday morning due to emphysima, he was 79 years old.

While Johnny's contribution to Late Night TV is his legacy, he also was a noted performer and player behind the scenes in Las Vegas.

Johnny, briefly, made a run at buying the Aladdin Casino in 1980.

Wayne Newton and Johnny had a long running public feud, sparked by Johnny's continual questioning of Wayne's masculinity on 'The Tonight Show'. They were both jockeying for ownership of the Aladdin at the same time as well. After Wayne decided that 'enough was enough' he headed to NBC Studios in Burbank, barged into Johnny's office and gave standing notice to Mr. Carson that the jokes would stop or Wayne would flat out kick his ass. The jokes stopped.
