A Teeny Bit More Information on Hotel32 at Monte Carlo
Apparently, the coffee makers are named "Sara." At least that's what I gathered from Monte Carlo's latest tweet on Hotel32. I'm going to guess that's just a tongue-in-cheek attempt at suggesting a private concierge will take care of the little details. In fact, the whole teaser is filled with awkward humor and cliché references to the jet set elite. See for yourself.
The video renderings show a funky, contemporary look as expected from MGM Mirage, but are nevertheless a welcome addition for the most lifeless casino on the strip Monte Carlo. As I was told by the reservations department, service will be at a five star, five diamond level with an intended opening date set for some time in August.
Does Monte Carlo - a casino that doesn't even have a single big baccarat table last I checked - get the level of player and clientele to make Hotel32 a worthwhile venture? Won't Aria's opening up the street cannibalize any remnant of high level customer that walks through their doors? Those questions remain to be seen, but I for one am very excited to see a "hotel-within-hotel" concept that will likely be at a lower price point than Wynncore Tower Suites or Skylofts.
It would be nice to have a real in-room coffee maker, though.

I think they look cool. But I doubt I'd stay in one. I mean, no matter how nice the room, it's still in....the Monte Carlo. That place is filled enough carpet deoderizer smell for every hotel on the Strip to take a hit off of.
The deal on the Skylofts though....that might be worth the taking.....
You want a real coffee maker in your room? Why the heck would you ever want to go Vegas with the wife?
Beware of the in room coffee maker. I would never use one. You have no idea what previous drunken guests may have done to it.
