Sooprise - The Mirage Has New Suites!
Apparently, we're not the only ones who have had qualms with the quality of housekeeping at The Mirage.
A report posted to TripAdvisor by user LadyJayBlue of a recent stay in a newly remodeled Mirage suite (photos of which are different than the old style rooms on the Mirage website) raved about amenities and room decor.
The downside? We quote:
This has to be one of the worst houskeeping ive seen in some time. When we arrived in the room, there was a bottle left over from the previous visitors that sat in plain sight in the master bed room. Also, (and this is the part which grossed me out and required talking to management) the bathroom sinks had not been cleaned at all, there was hair in the sinks and you could see that they were not even so much as wiped.
Gosh, that sure sounds familiar.
C'mon Mirage, pleeeeease get your housekeeping situation together... all the time and money you've spent on renovations and rebranding the property as quasi-brand new won't mean jack if everyone who visits returns to post stories like this to the internet.
Thanks to VT reader TIaVEN for the tip off to the pix and the report... very interesting indeed.

Suprise? Is the "r" taking the weekend off? :P
This review sounds like the YouPube review. MGM Mirage may need to look at their housekeeping operations, especially the staffing levels, as this looks like an example of cutting corners.
cut me some slack.. ya jek.
I believe Hospitality and Mirage suites, which share the same floors as the standard rooms, are the only ones that are renovated. Tower and Penthouse suites on the top floors are still desperately in need of a refreshing.
I know the Mirage Suites are finished, I stayed there in April. Really disappointed. The room was kept clean, not a problem there. But they renovate a suite and use cheap materials, and forget to put a light at or above the desk! Whatever material they did use on the "countertop" was really cheap and already had chips in it. In about a year this is going to look like a Motel 6.
