Analyzing The Caesars Palace $90 Bucks a Night Deal

Caesars Palace just sent out some spam advertising a $90/night promo... a pretty good rate for one of the spiffier joints in town. One obvious drawback is that this deal is seldom available for weekend benders.

How does this deal stand up to rates at some of the other Las Vegas casinos in and around the star quality rating of Caesars Palace? We decided to put these rates to the test for a randomly chosen week - Sunday June 21 to Thursday June 25th - up against standard room offerings at Venetian, Mirage, Treasure Island, Wynn/Encore and Bellagio.

At the outset, it should be noted that this deal is for the Classic Room, which I can't locate a description or photos of on the Caesars website. What we do know is that these are the entry level rooms at Caesars and are located in the older Roman and Centurion towers - not exactly luxury. With one exception, all of the rooms we are comparing Caesars Classic to are either brand new or have been redone in the last two or so years.

Caesars Compared

Comparing Caesars Palace to Other Resorts

From oldest to newest rooms:
Caesars, Wynn, Bellagio, Treasure Island, Mirage, Venetian, Encore.

From highest to lowest price:
Bellagio, Encore, Wynn, Venetian, Caesars, Mirage, Treasure Island

Our non-scientific value algorithm, best to worst, based on the above and our personal experiences:
Encore, Wynn, Treasure Island, Bellagio, Caesars, Venetian, Mirage

The Verdict

If you've always wanted to stay at Caesars and need an excuse, go for it... but be aware that better digs are available for less (TI) and stellar digs are easily within grasp (Encore, Wynn, Venetian).

Comments & Discussion:

Caesar's has long outlived its reputation as THE swank joint on the strip. It's interesting seeing them continue to rest on their laurels, pun intended.

^^ well put emperor ignoramus
