The Las Vegas Sun has won a Pulitzer Prize for its coverage of construction related deaths which have taken place on the Las Vegas Strip over the last two years.

We'd like to wish the heartiest of congratulations to the folks at the LV Sun, from series reporter Alexandra Berzon to the videographers/illustrators/flash programmers and the html jocks for winning such an amazing honor.

It is a rare feat when reporting can impact change in society, in this case shining a light on construction oversights, lax regulation and corporate drive to build multi-billion dollar palaces of escapade at the expense of human lives.

Las Vegas Sun Topics: Construction Deaths.

Comments & Discussion:

Construction like gangbusters 3-08. All I heard was beep beep beep at Sahara. The whole time wondering if it was a safe pace. That was when the workers were dying and I wondered what kind of regulations would be in place. Had a bad dream of a crane falling on me and wifey walking down the strip. Weird huh?
