Crest Battle

The Venetian | The Palazzo has sprouted its own version of the Wynn | Encore pipe separated, sister property crest.

The Wynn | Encore crest implies balance, strength and old world elegance.

The Venetian | Palazzo is more playful, informal and looks like it has an erection on the top and a clitoris on the bottom. The "The"'s seem a little awkward.

Who wins?

WYNN | ENCORE looks more carefully-composed, although "WYNN" looks to me to be in a slightly wider font than "ENCORE." 2 points for keeping it in the established Wynn color family (chocolate/cream). -2 points to THE VENETIAN | THE PALAZZO for the red background that has nothing to do with anything in either casino. Also, I agree, the "THEs" kind of bug me. The more I look at it, the more it looks like something a bored exec threw together in five minutes.

In other words, definitely WYNN | ENCORE.

yeah, i hadn't noticed that the Kerning of the W Y N N was different than the ENCORE before putting those two images next to each other. My guess is that the designers (Plover & Co) wanted to physically balance the text in space on either side of the pipe. It does look a little strange when you give it more than a casual eyeballing.

Yeah I was going to say the same thing, it's not the width, it's the kerning (space between the letters - not to be a jerk, just an FYI to people who might not know)

They need to definitely take out the THEs on the Venetian|Palazzo one....it's tacky
