Press Release: The Cosmopolitan is the stunning new $1.5 billion dollar hotel and casino being developed by high rise veteran Ian Bruce Eichner whose previous enormously successful projects in Miami and New York City have happy participants in those developments eagerly following him on to his new Las Vegas enterprise. The resort will total more than four million square feet of pure luxury, and will have a 70,000-square-foot casino, a 50,000-square-foot full fitness and spa and more than 300,000-square-feet of retail and restaurant space.

[Looks from the artist rendering that this joint engulfs the Jockey Club, between Project City Center (currently the Boardwalk) and Bellagio. Here's a crude photoshop job of what the strip is gonna look like in 2007- Ed]

Comments & Discussion:

Sorry for commenting on this over 6 years too late, but it's very interesting to read now.

What a difference 6 years makes. If we only knew then, what we know now. Have to laugh at the original CityCenter render. Oh Jimbo, you are the talented one.
