The New Old Thing: Coin In Coin Out Slots
Resorts Atlantic City has introduced a brand new bank of slot machines to their casino floor with a 70's 'Boogie Nights' disco theme of all God forsaken things.
In addition to trotting out celebrity disaster Danny Bonaduce to christen their bow, Resorts honchos are trumpeting something really unique about these slots: they operate on coins only, bringing ker-klang back to the casino floor.
And dirty fingers. And change buckets. And 10 minutes of wasted time as you scoop your coins from the tray into change buckets, if your session ends in the black.
More about the Boogie Nights slots here.

Comments & Discussion:
There's still some coin-in/coin-out action that can be found in Downtown Vegas.
Gonna be stayin downtown in a coupla weeks and one of our many goals is to find the coin op machines, we are adding that to the search for Zima, the "chase the crack head" game, and try to get my brother to eat something gross at Mermaids. Should be fun!!
Still can't believe it's two weeks until Vegas.....
If it's wrong to love the deep fried Twinkies and Oreos @ Mermaids, I don't want to be right.
I know La Bayou and Mermaids have coin-in/coin-out. Binion's did have some coin-in/coin-out machines when I was there back in May, but with the changes in the layout since then, I really didn't take time to track them down when I was out there in December. I believe the Fitz has a section of them as well (I remember seeing a sign outside of one of the casinos hyping it, but I cannot remember which one.).
