Update: New Website Roundup : Hilton, Riviera & Golden Gate

A number of Vegas hotels have upgraded their websites in the last few months, most notably the Las Vegas Hilton, Riviera and the Golden Gate.

LV Hilton New Website

The Hard Rock called, they want their circa 2004 website back. It's also interesting to see how they've broken their navigation down into "activities" sorta like how Mandalay Bay does the "Who are you?" schtick. This is more effective if you ask me. Nice work.

Riviera New Website

Amen - what an improvement! The navigation now makes sense, design is sharp and clear and makes the joint seem like a middle tier property - not a dump with a lousy website. I do wish the contrast on the photos was amped up a little... seems a little dark to me.

Golden Gate New Website

Perhaps the neatest thing about this site is the new logo (sharp!) and their mention that all of their rooms have completed renovation. This is what the old ones looked like. If you've stayed in the new rooms, drop us a dime.

Update: Reader butlertotheb sent this Flickr photostream of the new rooms at the Golden Gate. Thanks BtotheB!

thanks btotheb, added the link to the post!

The rooms at the GG look nice. I'm booked there for a stay this Fall, so perhaps unless someone beats me to it, I can provide an update to the prior review.

I hate the new look of Hilton's website. Barry Manilow doesn't sing to me anymore.

I agree. I loved Barry's singing/cheesy intro. Now all I have is Boozehouse's impression of it on my cell phone...
