Trippies 2008

Ladies and gentlemen, the 2008 Trippies are here.

VT members will be able to access the voting via a link inside the MyVegas. Guest voters will be required to do a little email confirmation fandango - nothing too serious, but enough of a speed bump to aggravate the shit out of those who wish to game the system.

Just a couple of suggestions
Next year we need to have a "Best Strip Club/Worst Strip Club" category.
Also maybe "Best/Worst Pool" (I guess that might fall into Best Overall).

Great work as always Chuck. Love this design even more than the nominations. How did The Mirage poker room make the list and not the MGM Grand? Come on people, the two don't even compare.

@RCX - good suggestions. we actually trimmed some of the categories from last year... the nomination form was a little too long, people started pooping out and not finishing the votes.

@ccs thanks bub!

While Many *(MANY)* will disagree...Im sad to see Tropicana on so many worst lists. I took a visit there this july and got a room for 25$ a night for 5 nights. 20 Dollar trick got me the paradise tower too. Friendly staff, Good minimums on game, Great pool, Okay restaurant selection, and a decent location on the strip as well. I feel as a whole its come a LONG way from when I walked in there 4 years ago. Still, its no where near finished either. Here's to hoping it will progress further. And maybe if we are lucky, they will just tear down the Garden rooms :D.

One quick thing I noticed (Besides the awesome nominations - this is my first Trippies) - when you submit your votes, it says that the winners will be announced live in January 2008.... Sorry, I was a copy editor in my past life. :)

@rob i cant believe we forgot to mention that a time machine will be provided to all who vote with 3-D glasses on. ps. thx for catching that error... fixed!

Shannon, I don't disagree with you at all. I love the Trop. All of the tackiness and gaudyness and just overall dingyness. Those are great qualities to me. :-) Plus the drinks at the Celebration Lounge are cheap and strong, I've always had good drink service in the casino too.
Their whirlpool suites don't look to bad.......but I don't know if I'd go in a whirlpool at the Trop...thats like the time they asked me to upgrade to a whirlpool suite at Hooters..... ::shivers::
