Harrah's Offering Multi-State Same Sex Wedding Packages

Nevada is no longer the wedding capital of the world, at least if you're looking to marry someone of the same sex.

Picking up the ball dropped by Nevada's rightward leaning social conservatism Harrah's Rincon - located near San Diego - has begun offering same-sex wedding packages with a tie-in to its gay friendly marketing campaign at sister property Paris Las Vegas.

The campaign, Marry in San Diego, Honeymoon in Paris, is part of Harrah's continued efforts to court the gay community, particularly those with double incomes and no kids *ahem cha-ching ahem*

Perhaps as a kick in the teeth to Nevada's reluctance to sanction same-sex marriages, the first couple married at Harrah's Rincon hailed from Las Vegas.

We are delighted that Las Vegas residents, David Mikowski and his partner of 10 years Toby Romzek, will be one of the first Love Has No Limits couples to marry here at Harrah's Rincon on August 20th. - Harrah's spokesperson Marcus Higgins

Maybe we can convince VT technical guru Ismail and Habibi to have a "Vegas" wedding of their own.

Kudos Harrah's. Now put the Wheel of Fortune slots back in at Bally's... jerks.
