The New Rooms at Circus Circus
You asked for it, you got it.
Reader RockChickX51 pointed out to us that the Circus Circus website is showing some new room photos in a handful of their header graphics. We did a little cunning detective work (which mostly involved talking to one of the super nice and incredibly helpful PR folks at MGM Mirage) and managed to procure three photos of the new rooms that are starting to show up at Circus Circus.
Caveat: these new rooms have not been fully implemented throughout the property and the timeframe for completion of the renovation is fuzzy. Feel free to request one in advance, but know that their availability is very limited .
As expected, the rooms' technology and decor are tasteful upgrade to the 'standard room' canon in much the same vein as Excalibur's Widescreen Rooms. Check em out:

Spiffy!

Flat panel tv's, smart furnishings and a non-gaudy yet still somewhat circusy vibe.

Hooray for the death of the TV coffin!

Old Dual Queen Room at Circus Circus
In case you were wondering, this is what the current rooms look like. Big difference eh?

Comments & Discussion:
I never in my wildest dreams imagined anything good about Circus Circus - too many kids running around for my taste, the casino employees have always been 'slightly' less than courteous. A cage employee wouldn't even let me buy a chip as a souvenier from the cage - said I had to go to a table. Out of EVERY casino on the Strip and downtown, I never had anyone else say that. BUT.... If I'm headed to Vegas on a budget (which I usually do) and needed a cheap place to rest my head for three hours a night, I might actually give these rooms some thought.
Thanks for the post!
Yeah I was surprised as hell when I went to the website and saw those rooms. I went on the website trying to find a menu/price list for their steakhouse. Is that place any good by the way?? Some people say it's the best in Vegas...others not so much...any suggestions?
I'd only stay if every room had a complimentary clown costume
