Sbesahara Redoes Website! SBESAHARA! SBESAHARA!
Been meaning to post this for a bit, but haven't gotten around to it... SAHARA has given their website a little bit of a refresh in the last coupla months. Nothing earth shattering really, except replacing that annoying lady talking with some nice hi-res photos of their revamped pool area and Ambassador Suite (which you can't book online - thanks for the tease guys.) Oh, and they renamed the place SBESAHARA. It doesn't have real impact until you say it out loud. Don't be chicken. SBESAHARA!
THIS IS SBESAHARA COUNTRY!
If SBE buys other joints, they could call em SBEBELLAGIO, SBEARIA, SBEEXCALIBUR, SBEPALAZZO and the truly moshtastic SBEENCORE!
Seriously, they pasted a SBE logo bug in the middle of those three whatever-those-things-are-called, as if anyone really gives a hoot about SBE Entertainment anyways (except you, one of the most informed Vegas visitors, of course.)
Let's hope that the multi-million dollar investment includes hiring web designers who don't upload corrupted hi-res images of their rooms to their website.
Judging by the interiors of the rest of their hotel offerings, I'll take the corrupted room providing it comes with two bags of Grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half-full of cocaine and a whole galaxy of multicolored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers.... also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls.
HOLY JESUS WHAT ARE THESE GODDAMN SBESAHARANIMALS!
I'll stop now.
SBESAHARA! psych!

they should buy Sobe beverage company next so they can rename it SBESOBE, or Saab motors for SBESAAB.
I'll stop now.
Listen, it's not that we wanted all those hard drugs, but once you start a drug collection you just want more.......
I would actually consider staying at the Sahara. I think I'm going to go to Vegas and do a crap hotel tour. Stay at all the nasties. Sahara, Circus Circus, IP, and Tropicana. That'd be a lot of moving, but it would be fantastic.
RockC - I am with you, but I actually *want* to stay at the Sahara. I have never, in all my years of visiting (from a wee toddler to a full fledged gambler) have stayed there and I feel empty inside because of it.
Please stay there and send pix!
Also: don't forget the Strat
I was in the Sahara for the first time early this month. I was expecting something along the lines of the Strat, but was pleasantly surprised. It was cleaner, less smoky. Didn't smell like a Motel 6. Things looked shiny (though not rubbed-with-ham shiny). Granted, the NASCAR elements made me twitch, but could be overlooked.
Were I looking for inexpensive accommodations, I would definitely consider SBESAHARA, even though it's in SBEBAT country...
Aw, RockChick, those aren't the nasties. Those are the midrange unpleasants. Nasties would be Casino Royale, Gold Spike, Buffalo Bill's, and I hear the Plaza has gone way downhill. Unfortunate, since it used to be my favorite cheap place.
"midrange unpleasants" omg. hysterical.
I have stayed at the Strat and the IP, several times. Not really in my low roller experience. I would choose the El Cortes, Western, Gold Spike, Wild Wild West and the Happi Inn as my choices.
Ok OK well go with those two motels that are on the north end of the strip, what are they the Holiday Motel and the Fun City Motel? The two motels that look like a slasher movie waiting to happen.
Yeah and you're right about Casino Royale....barf......I didn't even know that place had a hotel on it until I was out there last and had to sign up for the players club at the hotel registration desk.
