Wayne Newton Is Back at MGM Grand

Our hero, Wayne F. Newton is back with a brand new website and the announcement that he will be performing a number of week long engagements at MGM Grand starting on July 31, 2008. These are Wayne's first Vegas shows since (I think) October 2007, shortly before he cancelled his Christmas concerts because of health problems (or nibble on bigger cheddar via the Dancing With The Stars tour depending on who you ask.)

But wait, there's more! Wayne will be appearing on Celebrity Family Feud TODAY June 24th 2008 at 8pm on your local NBC station. Celebrity Family Feud is hosted by tv weatherman Al Roker, not soon-to-be-dethroned John O'Hurley or comic Louie Anderson. Does this mean that Al Roker (who was a regular visitor at the Roy Rogers drive-thru I worked at when in high school) will soon have his own headline show in Las Vegas?

Maybe someone needs to ask Wayne what he thinks about the Review Journal calling George Wallace "The new Mr. Las Vegas"... a quote being prominently displayed in signs for Mr. Wallace at the Flamingo.

Better yet, how about they just settle it the new fashioned way... in the octagon.
