Note To Self : Don't Accept Markers From Harrah's Casinos
The Review Journal is reporting at a gambler from Wisconsin, Christian Peterson, is suing Harrah's Entertainment about a marker he says he never signed.
Mr. Peterson is a regular gambler in Las Vegas, receiving the high roller treatment for each of his visits - comps galore, including chartered airfare on Harrah's private jets. After a recent drunken evening playing $25k/hand blackjack at Caesars in which he won $1.5M, Mr. Peterson was presented with a $3.5M marker to sign which he disputed before heading back to his room for a quick nap before boarding the Harrah's airplane chartered to take him home.
Mid-way through the flight, the flight attendant said there was 'a problem with the plane' and they had to return to Las Vegas. Upon arrival in Vegas, Mr. Peterson was surrounded by a Harrah's goon squad with $3.5M marker and bic pen in hand.
