Which is easier to hack - A Slot Machine or the Presidential Elections

Discover Magazine has an interesting post about the relative security (and transparency of programming) between slot machines and electronic voting machines which will tabulate the winners of the upcoming U.S. Presidential Election.

Apparently, slot machines' software is required to be filed with the states gaming control boards to ensure authenticity and accuracy. Electronic voting machines' software on the other hand is locked from all prying eyes, including regulators.

That's only the tip of the iceberg.

Lol ok as if it's not gonna be a landslide for McCain, the Democrats can't even decide on a candidate and whichever one they do pick can't win more than 35% of the electorate. Hello 1968.
