MGMMirage CEO Terry Lanni Hits The 9.6M Jackpot
MGMMirage CEO J. Terrence Lanni (who looks like he could've been separated at birth from Democratic pol pundit James Carville) hit a $9.6M jackpot in income for 2007.
Terry's (as he is commonly known) compensation included $2M in salary, $6.4M in incentives, $1.2M in "other compensation" which includes retirement benefits and usage of the MGM Mirage company aircraft (to fly him to AC, Detroit, Biloxi, Macau, Dubai and other places where he be wheelin-dealin.)
Additionally, Mr. Lanni (pronounced 'Lanny' not 'Lan-eye') also bought three condo units inside of City Center in partnership with two of his sons. Lanni and Sons also put some of their income to work in the John McCain campaign as we reported in our expose about political donations by casino bosses.
MGMMirage COO Jim Murren, heir apparent to Lanni's chair, also bought two City Center condo units with his $6.6M jackpot, and MGMMirage/Tracinda Corporation overlord Kirk Kerkorian bought one. Budmo the juggling clown who works on the midway at Circus-Circus, bought no City Center condo units (as of yet).
One might think that these guys would check change a coupla more stacks of chips since MGMMirage cleared $1.6B in global profit last year. Now that MGM Grand Macau has opened, we might see a bit more kizmash coming to the corporate chieftains' coffers. As posted earlier, Wynn Resorts CEO Steve Wynn, cleared $11.2M in 2007.
Way to go J.T.!
