ForbesTraveler Lists Worlds Best New Casinos
ForbesTraveler.com has posted its list of the World's Best New Casinos (there's 10 of them) of which none are in Las Vegas. One isn't open yet, one isn't new, and one isn't even a casino. Way to go Forbes. Sheesh
The list
Caesars Windsor (Casino Windsor)
Casino Cosmopol, Stockholm
The Casino at the Empire, London
Casino Lisboa, Alameda dos Oceanos, Portugal
Casino Zodiak Almaty, Kazakhstan
Hard Rock Biloxi, Biloxi Mississippi
Harrah's Atlantic City, NJ
Venetian Macao, Cotai, Macau
The Pier Shops at Caesars Atlantic City (not a casino!)
Marina Bay Sands, Singapore (Under Construction)
That the Marina Bay Sands is listed is silly, it's not going to open until about the same time City Center does, who where's City Center? and Fontainebleu? and Encore?.
Venetian Macao? Seriously? Why no Crown, MGM or Wynn Macau? StarWorld is prettier and infinitely more architecturally awesome than a replica of a replica of Venice Italy's St Marks Square.
Yes, Harrah's Atlantic City built a new tower and did a ton of refurbishing to its casino and the domed pool deck, but if you use that as a yard stick then Caesars Palace Vegas could be construed as a "new" casino.
