Liz Benston at the Las Vegas Sun is reporting that Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino has been saved from foreclosure proceedings by its original investors, excluding the man behind the concept Ian Bruce Eichner.

Hyatt Hotels, originally tapped to manage the hotel, and Marathon Asset Management have put up the cash to finish the project as well as buy out Eichner's share of the resort.
