MGM City Center Look Out! Cosmo Resort and Casino Moving In
DECEMBER 03, 2004 -- Las Vegas -- The developer of a hotel-casino that is scheduled to break ground here early next year has revealed that the $1.5-billion project will contain about 2,400 condo and hotel units combined and more than 150,000 square feet of meeting space.
The announcement, by 3700 Associates, comes on the heels of last month's announcement by MGM Mirage that it plans a massive hospitality development, CityCenter, between its Bellagio and Monte Carlo properties.
This latest upscale project, named Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino, is to be built on 8.5 acres situated between Bellagio and CityCenter on the Las Vegas Strip. In addition to the sleeping rooms and meeting space, it will contain a 1,800-seat theater, 70,000-square-foot casino, and more than 300,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space combined.
