MGMMirage Donates Perishable Food From Monte Carlo To Las Vegas Food Bank
A footnote to a Monte Carlo Fire Update on the Las Vegas Sun website states that MGMMirage donate six thousand pounds of perishable food items from various restaurants and other dining establishments inside of the Monte Carlo to Three Square Food Bank in Las Vegas.
Props to MGMMirage for having the forethought and generosity to give the food to those in need as opposed to taking the easy road to the dumpster. Very very cool.

Comments & Discussion:
Time to go drop by and pick up something nice from Andre's.
I wonder what Harrah's would've done with the food if it was one of their hotels??
And here I would have thought that MGM Mirage would have transferred the food over to the Circus Circus or Excalibur buffet lines, instead they do a nice thing and gain a great tax write-off by donating perishable food to a food bank (where people who lost their food money gambling in the casino can at least get something out of it).
I just hope the recipients like everything with a fresh 'smoked' flavor added.
Just another thing that ensures my loyalty to MGM properties over Harrah's properties.
