RateVegas posts Palazzo Room Review
Hunter at RateVegas.com has posted a detailed review of the brand new Palazzo Las Vegas suite. If you're planning or thinking about heading over to Palazzo any time soon, take a looksi and decide if this is your cup of tea.
Some of Hunter's more interesting observations:
- the pens are cheap looking
I dunno about you, but I am a big hotel pen fetishist. I've got a New Frontier slot bucket filled with em. It's good to know that I'm not the only pen dork out there.
There was a lack of electrical outlets
In this day and age of mobile gadgetry, computing on the go and 'rechargables' every hotel should have a docking station with ample, easily accessible outlets for cellphones, laptops and camera batteries. Seriously.
There's also construction dust and grime everywhere [...] the property is VERY unfinished.
He's also got a photo of an arch stone by the entrance being held in place by blue non-stick painters tape. Ooops. Despite the expected lack of polish to the property, Hunter does have a bunch of positive things to say about the nuts and bolts of the room design and hotel/casino layout as well, be sure to read the entire review here.

Comments & Discussion:
We visited Palazzo recently, and while we found it a nice hotel we also found it very boring. There are touches of class here and there, marble of course, elegant finishes for sure - but when stitched together I found Palazzo no more inviting or luxurious than a Hilton or Westin. It just isn't exciting at all, and maybe there are people who desire that - but normally you find them in places like Aspen or Manhattan - not sin city, and the Palazzo wouldn't even shine in Aspen or Manhattan. It is nothing to write home about, barely anything to write here about. I won't likely visit it again without some greater purpose like an appealing show or restaurant. I think the de-theming of Vegas will ultimately make it more boring than classy just like the Palazzo.
