IRVINE, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Dec. 1, 2004 -- Golden Tree Communications announced today that it has signed a contract with the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas to provide Wireless (WiFi) high-speed Internet access to all 2,073 guest rooms. Guests at the famous hotel and casino will now be able to stay connected wirelessly while in their rooms or on the move during breaks from the action.

"(Our) decision to deploy the Golden Tree Communications Wireless High-Speed Internet Access System was based on several factors," said Brian Benschneider, Riviera Hotel & Casino's vice president, hotel operations. "We were impressed with Golden Tree Communications' solid performance history ... (and) we felt comfortable because of their strong engineering emphasis and their commitment to after-the-sale support."

"Providing quality wireless high-speed Internet coverage to over 2,000 rooms is no easy feat," said Rein Narma, vice president of sales, Golden Tree Communications. "Our track record as the number one provider of WiFi to the hotel industry and our unique method for deploying the Cisco 1230g (CSCO) access points gave them the confidence to select us over the many competing vendors, including the established locals."
