Evel Knievel, superstar daredevil has died at age 69 of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis... a similar disease to what caused Wayne Newton to cancel his Christmas show at Harrah's.

If you were a child of the 70's you probably had an Evel Knievel action doll, with wind up motor bike, jump ramps and maybe even a mini Evel Knievel tourbus to tote around plastic jacks, tools and three different colored helmets and jumpsuits. Evel Knievel's legendary status cannot be overstated he was a fixture of ABC Wide World of Sports and a prime time lunatic.

One of Evl Knievel's more impressive jumps was over the top of the fountains at Caesars Palace... where he nearly killed himself (yet again).

Here's the video:

Sayonara Evel... you nut.

Comments & Discussion:

I think Ceasars Palace needs to do some sort of tribute to Evil.

Any word if the funeral hearse will do a tribute jump over the fountains at Caesars (or at least drive around them)?
