The always excellent Liz Benston at the Las Vegas Sun has published a series of profiles of the life and times of a handful of casino dealers currently working in Las Vegas.

Working as a dealer in the glamorous casino biz is a physically and mentally difficult occupation, both on and off of the felt. Ms. Benston's interviews reveal how the occupation has changed in the years since made men of the mafia sold their stake to the multinational gaming corporations that run the joints today. Both interviews are part of her series on dealer unionization at Caesars Palace.
