Harrahs Re-Opens Remodelgate Rooms
Harrah's Las Vegas has reopened 501 of 667 guest rooms that were recently closed for inspection following an investigation by Clark County Development Services.
Harrah's, who voluntarily closed the rooms in October, has been accused of remodeling rooms without gaining proper approval and inspections. The closure of rooms at Harrah's came shortly after a whistleblowing former Harrah's employee revealed corner cutting in room renovations at Harrah's Rio property off strip to the Review-Journal.
The rooms at Rio, remodeled in 2006 have also been reopened.

That's good news, since I'm staying there for a few days in about two weeks. I was worried that I'd end up getting my reservation transferred over to Emperor Wang's Impotent Palace and ending up in one of those motel rooms that is the Capri Tower. Heck, it's probably my last stay @ Harrah's, as I'm going to be staying @ the Flamingo my next trip, and it's a shorter walk to O'Shea's from there. Plus no annoying Carnaval Court to weave your way through to get back to your room, nor do you have to play chicken while crossing the entrance and exit of the porte coche of the Impotent Palace.
